Which Macs does it support?

RecordSlate requires macOS 15 or later. Available resolutions and frame rates depend on your screen, camera, and capture setup.

Does it upload my recordings?

No. Recordings and recovery data stay on your Mac. The website waitlist uses a separate form provider to handle signups.

Is RecordSlate also a video editor?

RecordSlate captures source files. Use your video editor to trim clips, arrange shots, and finish the video.

What permissions does it need?

Screen Recording, Camera, and Microphone permissions are requested for the inputs you choose to use.
